All of our ETFs spent the entirety of 2021 in Long Term Uptrends, and fortunately that proved to be the correct positioning. Now we move into 2022, after almost a two year recovery from the Covid induced market declines of 2020.
It seems unlikely we will have another year of no trend changes, but we don’t try and predict market changes we let the market, and its infinite wisdom, tell us what to do. Only after we see a 15% decline in an ETF (20% for the more volatile ETFs) will we change the Long Term Trend rating.
Let’s hope for another year of strong returns and no trend changes.
